Liane and Henry rented a Jeep for two weeks in NH, MA & ME.  Prescott Park, Portsmouth NH on a sunny day.

Blast From The Past

Henry and I decided to pull the crates of old Thomas The Tank engine wooden trains out of the attic.  We made tracks!  Just like the pre-school days of 2012-2013!!!

Back in Raleigh

Weary travelers.  We arrive back in Raleigh after TWO weeks abroad!

Last Day in Belgium

Onze laatste dag in België (our last day in Belgium).  Dinner at the Kaminsky with Bert and Goedele.  And a surprise visit from Miren to say goodbye.  It looks like mid-day but it's about 10pm when we said goodbye to Miren.  The days are long in June in Belgium.

Mechelen

Mechelen.  Another small, lovely Flemish town.

Gent

The three of us (without Monique as the usual tour guide) visited Gent.  Interesting to see all the bikes at the train station.  We did a canal boat ride and toured Gravensteen Castle.

Vlierbeek

A relaxing, "non-travel" day.  Henry and I found a playground in Leuven that has the exact same swings as Sawyer Park in NH.  Then we cycled to the Vlierbeek abbey to have lunch with our friends.  Henry made his first Flemish friend, Arno, the son of Stefan and Carla.

Diest

Diest, another lovely medieval Flemish town.  A long day and a tired Henry on the train home.

Another Day in Leuven

Another day in Leuven.  More cycling, more tea and beer, more abbeys, and a shot of Overwinningstraat.  Also, it was July 04, but I don't think we even realized it.
