Christmas 2021. The first shot was an early Xmas in Pittsboro. Then Rhode Island. The last photo is me and the sweet boy Bubba. Bubba pass over the rainbow bridge a few months later.
Live Blindly And Upon The Hour
Henry has been home for 528 days. School closed on March 13, 2020 and opened in-person today, August 23, 2021. Middle of sixth grade to beginning of eighth grade. I'm happy for Henry to be back in school with his friends, but still worried about coronavirus delta-variant. Also, I'm going to really miss him today. I'm still home indefinitely and missing my lunch buddy.
Second consecutive pandemic birthday. We stayed close to home (well, actually at home) this year. 13 + 55.
After a two-year COVID gap, Liane and Henry went to NH/MA/ME for two weeks in July 2021. Henry spent most of the time at Hampton Beach. That's him crashed on the pullout sofa. And on his last day (7/24/21) he took a boat ride to Isles of Shoals ME with Amanda and Priscilla. Just like old times!
Wow, first time I've been to the D'Amelio beach house in Lavalette since 1981. Forty years! Too bad the backlighting makes most of these photos so dark.
We are all officially vaccinated! Liane got Moderna and I got J&J in March. Today Henry got the Pfizer COVID vaccine just days after the FDA approved it for kids age 12-15. Thank God he's not 11!
Henry had a play date (first in 7 months) with Ana and her sister Cici and Cici's friend. Ana's mother fixed a proper Brazilian lunch of steak and rice with farofa (seasoned yucca powder).
