Henry in St. Martin

 

Hard to get pictures of a teenager, but Henry said the first picture of him and mommy on Grand Case beach should be framed!  Henry spent a whole lot of time in that pool at the house.  The place with the palm trees is downtown Phillipsburg.  The last photo is me and Henry navigating the scary roads in our jeep.

Maho Beach

 

Maho Beach is St. Martin's most famous attraction - the beach right next to the airport runway where jets fly right over your head.  No lie: Henry showed me pictures of this beach six years ago in third grade when he was really into airplanes and aviation.  He was SO thrilled to actually see this place that is so famous on the internet!

Lolos

 

Lolos: our favorite place to eat.  It's an open-air shack right on Grand Case beach on the French side of the island.  Appetizers included stuffed crab shells, curried shrimp and beans n' rice.  On our second trip there, Liane and I had grilled conch and grilled spare ribs cooked on an open-pit smokey grill!  

Grand Case

Henry takes the best pictures, plus he's got the most high-end iPhone.  He took these shots at Grand Case beach, our favorite spot on the island.  We had lot of big iguanas at our house, but they were all gray.  Only in Grand Case did we see these bright green iguanas.

Freshman year in the books!

 

Henry's early-college high school gets out so early because they're on the county college calendar.  He finished his last final yesterday, May 18!  Today he got a high-end pair of Apple headphones as a gift for a wonderful year where he made honor roll every term!!!!!!!

National Beta Club

Because of Henry's grades, he was invited to join the CSSE chapter of the National Beta Club, which is an academic honor society similar to National Honor Society.
