House and Neighborhood

The Horizon development in Bynum NC.  Our postal address is the little quaint town of Pittsboro, but we actually live in a completely rural "village" called Bynum.

New England Roots

A couple of prints we bought in Portsmouth NH just before we moved.  Need to keep the New England seaside feeling alive in our new house in NC.

Henry's New Bedroom

Henry got a new bedroom set.  The little-boy bunk beds are gone.  A very grown-up new bedroom set.  Of course I made him put Spence on the new bed!

Move-In Day

A very long and exhausting day, but we got all our stuff moved in on Thursday, November 8, 2018

Closing Day in Pittsboro

The movers were not coming till the following day, but we signed the legal paperwork, did a walkthrough and the house was ours!  Henry walked around the top floor and picked out his bedroom.  We left that decision entirely to him.

Moving Day

Over two months of packing, seven days a week from early morning till late at night finally culminated in the big day: Monday November 5, 2018.  The truck pulls in at 8AM and by early afternoon our life is all crammed in there.  Henry and I left around noon and drove to Tom's River NJ to see Nana and Pop Pop.  Liane had to stay until 4pm to do the final walk through, so she only made it to Hartford CT that night.

Boissonneault Bon Voyage Party

We had a big sending off party on November 3 with all of the Boissonneault and Chabot family members.  Auntie Nicky got the wonderful cake made showing our journey ahead.  Hopefully this party was not an "Au revoir", but rather an "À la prochaine".

Miss Cheryl

Every day Miss Cheryl tells me how much she's going to miss Henry.  He has always been her favorite since kindergarten!  This is Henry's last day of school in Amesbury (November 2, 2018).  After I took this picture, I gave Cheryl a hug and we both cried.

Old Friends

As we get ready to move to North Carolina Henry is spending time with lots of Amesbury friends: top Sophie and Tessa, middle Sam and Celia.  Bottom: me with Lily Lu and Xiaowei Sun, my oldest friends from my first job at Eisai.
