Thanksgiving 2023

 

We didn't do the Wilcox Family tradition this year for Thanksgiving.  For the first time since the pandemic year of 2020, we had a quiet Thanksgiving at home just the three of us.  (I did manage spend two day in the kitchen cooking, though!)

Endoscopy

 

Henry's an adult with adult problems.  We had an endoscopy performed at UNC to look for reasons for Henry's reflux and stomach issues.  Everything looked fine (we're relieved for that), but poor poopy had to get put under.  He was a trooper.

Pottery Class

Liane has been taking pottery all year.  Memere and Pepere came to visit in October and they did a tour of the pottery studio.  Henry and Memere got a turn "on the wheel".

New England Summer Trip 2023

 

Henry and Liane made their annual July pilgrimage to New England and only managed to get in one photo!

Hard to get pictures of a teenager, but Henry said the first picture of him and mommy on Grand Case beach should be framed!  Henry spent a whole lot of time in that pool at the house.  The place with the palm trees is downtown Phillipsburg.  The last photo is me and Henry navigating the scary roads in our jeep.

Maho Beach

 

Maho Beach is St. Martin's most famous attraction - the beach right next to the airport runway where jets fly right over your head.  No lie: Henry showed me pictures of this beach six years ago in third grade when he was really into airplanes and aviation.  He was SO thrilled to actually see this place that is so famous on the internet!
